There's nothing 'junior' about the premium quality and construction of the Prodigy 1 Junior. This is a kids all-mountain freestyle twin tip ski built for capable young skiers and comes packed with many of the same tech features seen in the Prodigy 1. The Poplar/Beech wood core provides loads of energy and dampening for high-speed carving and big-jump-stomping; Elliptic Sidecut and smooth Rocker prevent edge-hook (fewer spills, more thrills); and the Full-Strength Sidewall, tip & tail cap, and 2.2 mm edges work together to put durability at a premium.

SUSTAINABLE WOOD CORE
Our poplar, beech and ash cores are sourced from the forests near our European factories, eliminating the carbon cost of transporting raw materials across great distances. Our raw materials are FSC accredited, meaning that the forests from which our wood is sourced are managed to support environmental and societal sustainability.

RECYCLED MATERIALS
Working with our production partners to eliminate material waste, we now mix base, sidewall and topsheet material scraps back into the raw material used for production, reducing carbon emissions while ensuring the same level of quality & durability. By integrating recycled materials into our ski bases, we reduce the ecological impact of our bases by 75%.

POPLAR/ ASH CORE
Poplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood that complements Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides excellent hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex to get creative with.

FULL STRENGTH SIDEWALL
A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impact and outside damage.

DIRECTIONAL TWIN
A considerably skinnier tail width than in the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch without problem.

ELLIPTICAL SIDECUT
The Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turns, lengths, angles and mounting positions (stay tuned for our mounting guide).

ANTI CHIP MICRO CAP
Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile join that can be prone to chipping.

MUSTACHE FLEX
This flex works best for most skiers. Enjoy stability in front of, and behind the binding area to provide solid edge hold. Then, we transition to smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris on the mountain. This flex allows for an easier turn initiation and finish.
